Spread the Sparkle

Twelve years ago Sparkles was founded by Julie Yamtich to create a space where little girls could turn their dreams of being a pop star, princess, or even a mermaid into a reality with Sparkles signature fantasy makeovers. She loves seeing their excitement and never tires of hearing them say, “This is the best day of my life!”

The Sparkles brand was created to spread the joy of Julie’s heart so it is no surprise that she has been helping in the community since the first day she opened the doors. Sparkles has sponsored numerous charitable events and has donated over 200 raffle items for community events and fundraisers. With the opening of the second location, Julie decided it was time to make a bigger impact in the community, so she has created the “Spread the Sparkle” fundraising campaign and community outreach program.

“Spread the Sparkle” is a month-long fundraising partnership with charity and non profit groups. Every month a new charity or non profit is selected from nominations made by the community. Once a group is chosen, Julie will design a custom southern style T-shirt that reflects the mission of the group. The T-shirts will be promoted on all platforms and sold in both locations with proceeds going to the charity or group at the end of the month-long campaign. In addition to the T-shirt fundraiser, Sparkles will host a spirit night during the month in which 20% of the night’s sales will also be donated to the group at the end of the campaign.

This month we are supporting our friends at The Freedom Readers!  These shirts are available at both locations for 19.99.  The proceeds will be going to the Freedom Readers for their continued efforts to increase reading skills in low-income communities.
